   The production and distribution facility, located in Buena Vista, Virginia, is one of the largest embroidery operations in the United States and is the area’s largest employer of Adults with Disabilities. Screen Printing Station    Screen printing is the process of pulling ink through an image-burned screen onto t-shirts and other garments. Our in-house designers create a computergenerated version of our customer’s idea, using the t-shirt color(s) the customer has chosen for their order.
   Our production artists take the design apart using a process called color separation. Each color is printed on its own film positive. The screens are coated with a photosensitive emulsion and attached to a color-separated positive. The screen is then exposed to ultra-violet light which removes the emulsion to let the ink come through the screen. Finally, the ink is applied to the proper screens and, once the garment is lined up exactly, the ink is pulled across the garments with a rubber squeegee. At the end of the process, our Quality Control department inspects each garment to guarantee it meets our stringent, high quality standards.
